If you’re looking for ways to increase productivity, you needn’t look far. Often, the simplest options are right under our nose. From ergonomic design to written to-do lists, increasing productivity is easy with these simple suggestions.
Invest in a productive space.
If you’re struggling to sit comfortably, to locate a meeting room or if you find yourself switching often between programs on a single monitor, you might want to look at your physical space. Dual monitors, ergonomic keyboards, inviting breakout spaces and comfortable chairs all contribute to a more productive work environment. (That’s why we put such a big focus on it ourselves.)
Quiet the notifications.
It’s nearly impossible to focus when dings, buzzes and bells keep going off. If you need to be more productive, consider setting quiet hours on your phone and snoozing your email inbox. When you create set hours to deal with new notifications and emails, you’ll give yourself the uninterrupted time needed to complete your daily tasks in peace.
Take regular breaks.
According to Forbes, “While taking breaks might sound counterintuitive when it comes to boosting productivity, it’s one of the best ways to do so. Employees gain focus and energy after stepping away from their desks.” Just a few minutes every hour or two and a change of scenery is enough to refresh yourself so you can get back to your tasks with vigour.
Write a to-do list.
It might sound a rather old school idea, but it’s still just as effective in the modern-day. Each morning, get yourself prepared for success by writing out the tasks of the day in order of priority. That way, as you tick off items, you’ll accomplish all the high-priority items first. Then, if you have remaining hours, you can complete the ‘nice-to-have’ items. With each tick, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment that will propel you to the next task.

Our courtyards, which are free to use to all of our members, are cut off from the public street, and are full of season changing greenery. Book a room for a private meeting, take time out in one of our indoor breakout spaces or an outdoor courtyard, under a canopy with a courtyard heater if its chilly. Order a coffee or a bite to eat from our café. Or take a stroll for 5 minutes down to the river.
