A village of palaces

As far back as 1694, Chelsea was described as ‘A village of palaces’:

Then creative industries like silk and china manufacture sprang up (as did the invention of the Chelsea Bun!) during the 19th century, before it became a centre for innovation and the bohemian Victorians, attracting artists, radicals, painters and poets.

In the 1960s Chelsea became the heartbeat of ‘Swinging London’ and in the 1970s the Worlds End area of Kings Road was at the epicentre of the UK Punk explosion.

Creative hub

This creative reputation remains today with the presence of The Chelsea College of Art and Design, the Chelsea Collection, the Saatchi Gallery, the Design Centre and the Chelsea Design Hub, which runs from Sloane Square to Chelsea Harbour and is home to many creative businesses and schools.

So whether your passion is for Kings Road, Sloane Square, Chelsea Harbour, Chelsea Village, the Chelsea Flower Show or watching Chelsea Football Club, working from Worlds End Studios literally spoils you for choice.

Right at the heart

We’re located right between Kings Road and Old Father Thames, and only two minutes walk from Imperial Wharf overground station (one Oyster stop from Clapham Junction). So doing business here puts you right at the heart of this famous borough, and right at the heart of this famous capital city.

“WES is a great place to have your office. We have a super reception here with the most wonderful girls looking after us. They can organise next to everything and are always looking for new ways to improve the service and the premises!”
